Cocker spaniel in watercolour

Cocker Spaniel in watercolour
Finished this guy earlier on in the week. With North of the Harbours annual dog show coming up in a few weeks time and being one of the sponsors, I wanted to show prospective clients the other medium I have been working in - watercolour.
I fell in love with Windsor and newtons charcoal grey (which is what he is painted in) sadly they've discontinued this great colour, so I'm treating it like gold.
This boy is 10" x 14" painted on arches 300 gsm hot pressed (smooth) paper. For Sale
If you would like to commission a watercolour portrait of your pet or equine then drop me an email: catherin@animalarthouse.com

thanks for looking, love to hear your comments on my watercolour cocker spaniel.

Pocket Full of Pups

Pocket Full of Pups

Ive been working on this piece on and off for a couple of months. As Ive enjoyed doing the single canvas's with the pop art pups on them and wanted to do something big and bold thought Id put brush to canvas so to speak an create a pocket full of pups.

After going through reference photos from various groups I belong too and finding the images I wanted to use the next hardest part was deciding upon the background colours to use. Not always an easy thing to come up with.

Pocket Full of Pups is quite large 122cm x 92cm (can work that out in inches if anyone would like me to convert) mixed media on 2.5 cm gallery wrapped canvas.

The bright colours would look great in an office or foyer and brighten any room with its vibrant colours.

Price: $1750.00 + shipping.

thanks for looking and please pass these guys image onto anybody you may feel is interested in purchasing.

Pay Pal is available

Charlie

Charlie
Earlier this year I saw Charlie at the local agricultural show. He was being ridden under saddle by his owner. As I had my camera handy and thought he had such great character I decided to take some photos of him in his yard. What made me laugh about him was that every time I clicked the camera he pulled a face like he was either smiling or laughing at me.
It had both myself and my mother in stitch's. Didn't give another thought to Charlies photos until I was asked to include photos of my artwork containing cattle in a magazine article. This gave me the excuse I needed to dig out Charlies photos and draw him.
Charlies portrait has been purchased by his owners. Thanks Robin and Garry.

Roxie II

Roxie II
Early last year I created a large portrait of Roxie for her owners. They loved her and her portrait so much that Leigh asked me to do a smaller version of the orginal large portrait. So here is Roxie II she has he most amazing eyes and I can surely see why they loved her so much.
