Finally finished and ready to frame Well Moo 2 U up.. I had heaps of fun working on these ladies with the unusual colours of blue and purple.. though if you really  look at an animal that has a black coat they are never truly black.

A little more work on Moo  R U Ive been working on her nose working out what colours to use and getting the texture of the skin right... nothing like a challenge.

I so enjoy painting cows... who would have thought they could be so much fun... well me I guess as Ive now a few to my name.

Hopefully Moo R U will be finished next week...

I apologise for the paleness of the image I photographed todays update in side the studio due to the weather...

Today Ive spent redefining Moo's eyes and working on her muzzle adding in the pinks and burnt brown tones that are present.. there is a long way to go until shes finished... next step will be to start to define the skin on her nose adding all those little dimples cows noses are known for,

Today was spent working on Moo R U and defining the darks in her ears and addint more difinition to her head and eyes... Im enjoying the process of working through the various coat colours on her head.. Who would have thought a cow would have so many different shades of the one colour.

Charlie

Charlie

Earlier this year I saw Charlie at the local agricultural show. He was being ridden under saddle by his owner. As I had my camera handy and thought he had such great character I decided to take some photos of him in his yard. What made me laugh about him was that every time I clicked the camera he pulled a face like he was either smiling or laughing at me.

It had both myself and my mother in stitch's. Didn't give another thought to Charlies photos until I was asked to include photos of my artwork containing cattle in a magazine article. This gave me the excuse I needed to dig out Charlies photos and draw him.

Charlies portrait has been purchased by his owners. Thanks Robin and Garry.
